More about Dustin
Early Consulting: By age 10, I had opened my first bank account with $54 I had earned selling
greeting cards door to door, mostly to unsuspecting housewives. I used to be adorable, and I was quite
the persuasive "consultative seller."
Family: I'm the last of five boys, all with the initials D.R.W. That made sorting mail addressed to
"D.R. Walling" fun. When we meet, ask me what my father's nickname for me was.
Strangest Job: In grad school, I worked as a professional light bulb changer for the Caterpillar plant
in Lafayette, In. I was never able to finish - too many bulbs.
If you know me, you know how much it bugs me not to finish something.
Best Job Ever: I grew up in a family business. I learned about business, family, and family business
from an early age. Because of this business, I was also a locksmith for about a decade,
from junior high through college. Working summers with my brother are some of the best memories ever.
